Mary Jane Szydlowski MS LMHC
Mary Jane Szydlowski has been providing mental health services in Western New York to adults, children, and families for over 40 years. MJ's background includes work as a School Counselor and in women's health care and sexuality, adolescent residential services, homeless teens and family counseling.
Ms. Szydlowski has a long history as a School Counselor in the Williamsville Central School District. A New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor, MJ has been an adjunct faculty member in the Counseling and Human Services Graduate Program at Canisius College. MJ has extensive experience with children, families and the challenges of life changing events.
Most recently, Ms. Szydlowski has completed the training and subsequent requirements for certification as an EMDR therapist. MJ uses this treatment model fo therapy as her primary approach in helping her clients achieve their treatment goals.

Ms. Szydlowski has had extensive post-graduate training in many counseling approaches including EMDR, Solution Focused counseling, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), and Gestalt therapy; and in specialized areas of treatment such as grief and loss, trauma and various creative approaches including sand tray. She is a certified True Colors trainer and an EMDRIA certified EMDR therapist.
